The Undergraduate, Master, and Doctoral Program in Agricultural Extension & Communication (PKP) FP UNS Share 1,000 masks

UNS – The academic members of the Undergraduate, Master, and Doctoral Program in Agricultural Extension & Communication (PKP), the Faculty of Agriculture (FP), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, which consist of lecturers, students, and alumni, held an activity to share 1,000 cloth masks on Sunday (3/5/2020) and Monday (4/5/2020).

On this occasion, present the Head of Undergraduate Program in PKP FP UNS, Dr. Suminah, the Director of Doctoral Program in Agricultural Extension & Communication FP UNS, Dr. Sapja Anantanyu, and lecturer from PKP FP UNS, Eksa Rusdiyana, M.Sc. This activity is held at two locations, 600 masks were shared at Pasar Jebres on Sunday and the others 400 masks were shared in the Jebres area on Monday.

“One of the purposes of this activity is to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission in Indonesia, especially in the crowd-prone area, COVID-19 prone area such as traditional market, is our target,” said Khanif Irsyad Fahmi who acts as the field coordinator at that time.

Khanif adds that the 1,000 masks are the donation previously collected from the lecturers, students, and alumni of the Undergraduate and Master Program in PKP FP UNS. Through this activity, they hope that the public can wear a mask when they left home to avoid getting infected by COVID-19. “Hopefully, this activity can inspire students and alumni from other study programs to collectively fight the COVID-19,” he concluded.
