UNS Micare Foundation Organizes MBC 2020

UNS — The Foundation for the Alumni of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science (FMIPA), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Micare UNS, organizes Studentpreneur Award MBC (Micare Business Coaching) 2020. This Studentpreneur Award is an appreciation for those graduating from MBC 2020 mentoring. The event was held virtually on Friday (11/12/2020) through Zoom Cloud Meeting, inviting Paiman, S.Si (the Chair of FMIPA Alumni Foundation) and Imam Bustomi, S.Si., M.M (Chair of FMIPA Alumni Association). MBC is a coaching or mentoring, as well as entrepreneur funding for FMIPA students, organized by UNS Micare Foundation in collaboration with UNS FMIPA Student Executive Board (BEM) under the Prabaswara Cabinet.

The Dean of FMIPA UNS, Drs. Harjana, M.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., in his opening remark appreciates and welcomes the Studentpreneur Award. “Thank you for the initiative of this MBC event. Hopefully, all effort given by Micare Foundation can run smoothly and bring many benefits,” Drs. Harjana, Ph.D., states.

Meanwhile, the Chair of FMIPA UNS Alumni Association, Imam Bustomi is grateful for the event organized by the Micare Foundation. He hopes that this event can establish the participants’ entrepreneurship spirit. Even though the MBC event was finished, but the participants should continue their business. Therefore, when the outcome does not meet the expected result, students will stay excited because they are following their passion.

During the MBC, participants received mentoring, which will be conducted weekly. The Mentoring and business selection consisted of MBC – Business Idea, MBC – Business Review dan MBC – Business Execution. Based on the result of Season 3 (Business Execution), there are 5 teams (business ideas) selected by the juries out of 61 total participants. These selected teams will receive capital assistance for their business. They were also required to present their business idea during the Studentpreneur Awards and following the Coaching Clinic as the preparation for their business implementation.

The Coaching Clinic is scheduled for January 2021 through a direct meeting at C Building Assembly Room on the 3rd Floor, FMIPA UNS. The capital assistance for the five selected teams was handed alongside the signatory of integrity pact and collaboration agreement. Humas UNS
