UNS — Exhilarating news came from the students of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta after winning yet another National Competition. The two UNS students, Muhammad Arif Ilham Fadillah (Special Education Study Program FKIP UNS) and Distantya Ika Putri Hanifa (Agricultural Extension & Communication FP UNS), won first place in the 2021 National Creative Video Competition entitled “Shine as A Role Model.” On this occasion, Arif and Distantya, who is from the class of 2018 and 2019, create a video entitled ‘The Current Kartini – Full of Ambition and Potential.’
The video depicts their version of Kartini in the current time. “This video describes that Kartini in this current timeline must always be passionate about creating and innovating according to your interests and talents,” Arif explains to the uns.ac.id team on Saturday (22/5/2021).
The competition was conducted virtually by Duta Pancasila Malang District. The participants of the competition must upload their video on their Instagram account for assessment. After the assessment, the two UNS students are determined as the winner on Saturday (8/5/2021).
Arif admits that they are enthusiastic about joining the competition because of the opportunity and that they only need one day to prepare the video.
“We are interested and highly encouraged to join the competition. Thus we decide to join. Back then, it was the two days before the registration closing day. The next day we are filming the video, and finally, we can finish the video at 10 pm before uploading it to Instagram for assessment,” Arif explains.
In the future, they hope to channel their interest and skills through more positive activities.
“Hopefully, we can continue to channel our interest and skills on positive things while contributing to UNS achievements,” Arif concluded. Humas UNS
