Collaborating With STAR Consultant & Training, FEB UNS Hosted Pre-Startup & Startup Coaching for FEB UNS Students

UNS — Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS ) Surakarta, in collaboration with STAR Consultant & Training, held an event entitled Pre-Startup & Startup Coaching for FEB UNS Students. This event was held at Aula Konimex, 3rd Floor, 4th Building FEB UNS, which is also available virtually through Zoom Cloud Meeting and Youtube Livestream at Faculty of Economics and Business UNS Official Youtube Channel on Monday (28/3/2022). This training is designed for students in the 4th semester in FEB UNS who are enrolled in entrepreneurship courses.

“This coaching is addressed to students in the fourth semester because there will be further funding activities for students who successfully establish a startups business. This training aims to provide sustainable knowledge after the Pre-Start-up & Startup Coaching for FEB UNS students,” said the Vice Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs FEB UNS, Prof. Dr. Izza Mafruhah, SE., M.Si., in her remarks.

According to Prof. Izza, the training is crucial for faculty and universities (PT) because it involves 2 (two) Key Performance Indicators (IKU). “The first IKU is in alumni support: alumni’s career, alumni pursuing further studies, and entrepreneurial alumni. This training is expected to prepare FEB UNS alumni for starting their entrepreneurial journey. Then the second IKU is the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Program implementation in entrepreneurial activities,” explained Prof. Izza.

Prof. Izza also expressed her greatest gratitude to the trainer team because, in less than 2 (two) weeks, the team managed to organize such a fantastic event that may be beneficial for all participants. Meanwhile, the Head of Entrepreneurship Labs FEB UNS, Prof. Dr. Asri Laksmi Riani, M.S., said that in the future, the business landscapes would be dominated by creative and innovative companies and organizations. It requires communication and collaboration with a full of challenges. Therefore, entrepreneurship courses are provided at higher education institutions to avoid the creation of products by organizations or individuals with no market or have no strategy.

“Through entrepreneurship courses, we are also equipped with how to communicate, collaborate, and compete effectively based on competencies,” said Prof. Asri in her report.

Prof. Asri also thanked all the committees for the immaculate organization of the event. “Hopefully, this training can be conducted smoothly and bring blessings to all,” said Prof. Asri. Humas UNS
