UNS — The 4th National Congress (Konas) of the Association of State University Hospitals (ARSPTN) was successfully held in Solo. Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Hospital was appointed as the organizer of the 4th Konas ARSPTN event, which took place from August 11 to 13, 2023, at The Sunan Hotel Solo.

The event was attended by 300 participants from 30 hospitals and dental and oral hospitals (RSGMs), both members and non-members of ARSPTN, representing regions from Sabang to Merauke. The event was inaugurated by the Acting Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S., and the Chairman of ARSPTN, Prof. Dr. Nasronudin, Sp.PD., KPTI-FINASIM, on Saturday (12/8/2023).

The 4th Annual Meeting of ARSPTN 2023 carried the theme “Strategies for Improving Clinical Education Quality in synergy with PTN Hospital and Dental and Oral Hospitals in Services and Research and the Acceleration of Hospital Education Accreditation “. This activity is expected to promote, develop, and advance educational hospitals through the exchange of knowledge, skills, and information among experts in the field of healthcare.

According to Prof. Dr. Nasronudin, Sp.PD., KPTI-FINASIM, the Chairman of ARSPTN, the theme is highly relevant and aligns well with the needs and demands of both national and global communities. Among these demands is the call for the emergence of excellent human resources in the healthcare field. “To achieve this goal, high-quality educational institutions and educational hospitals are necessary, along with educational programs that prioritize quality and excellence. In line with this high-quality education, the provision of services and research, which are integral parts, cannot be separated from each other,” Prof. Nasronudin explained.

Throughout this three-day event, there were two workshops, five symposiums, two lunch symposiums, two plenary symposiums, and work meetings that discussed educational hospitals and the latest developments in the healthcare sector. Not only that, but the event also featured a scientific paper competition, where representatives from hospitals, RSGMs, and universities presented their research findings. During the gala dinner session, participants showcased performances representing the distinctive characteristics of their respective regions, aiming to foster camaraderie among participants from hospitals and RSGMs across Indonesia.
