UNS — On Wednesday (16/4/2025), the Faculty of Medicine (FK) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta officially graduated a new cohort of 16 medical specialists. The graduates completed the Specialist Medical Education Program (PPDS). The organizers held the ceremony onsite at the FK UNS Auditorium and livestreamed it on the FK UNS YouTube channel.
Vice-Rector for Academic and Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Fitria Rahmawati, S.Si., M.Si., and Dean of FK UNS, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp.P(K), attended the event. Several other distinguished figures were present, including the Chairperson of the FK UNS Academic Senate, Prof. dr. Ari Natalia Probandari, MPH., Ph.D. Representatives from local hospitals also attended the event.”
In her academic report, Vice Dean for Academic and Research Affairs, Dr. Eti Poncorini, dr., M.Pd., shared that FK UNS has graduated 2,038 medical specialists and 2 medical subspecialists. This achievement has been accomplished since the faculty’s founding in 1976. These graduates now serve across Indonesia, contributing to healthcare services, education, research, and roles in government, private sectors, and the military.
Graduate Achievements and Messages from Leadership
Among the 16 new graduates, 4 completed the Surgery Study Program, 4 graduated from Internal Medicine, and 2 graduated from Neurology. Additionally, 2 graduated from Cardiology and Vascular Medicine, 2 from the Subspecialist Internal Medicine Program, and 2 from Psychiatry. Iin Novita Nurhidayati Mahmuda, dr., Sp.P.D., Subsp.P.T.I.(K), who achieved a GPA of 3.96, earned the highest honors. Hanifan Danu Wijaya, dr., Sp.P.D., the youngest graduate at 29 years and 7 months, also completed the Internal Medicine Program.





In his address, Prof. Reviono emphasized the importance of integrity and excellence in their professional duties. “I have three key messages. First, professionalism through mastery of competence. Second, integrity—being a resident is a phse of being a doctor with the highest integrity. And third, networking,” he stated.



Prof. Fitria also encouraged the graduates to uphold the good name and reputation of UNS. She highlighted that their contributions to national development are highly anticipated. “Show your integrity, deliver exceptional achievements, and demonstrate compassion for the community, regardless of race or social group,” she added.
