Educating Students on Ethical Social Media Use
The initiative aimed to teach ethical principles in social media use while increasing awareness of digital threats. During the opening session, team member Putra Pamungkas, S.E., M.Rech., Ph.D., delivered remarks. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between universities and schools to shape a responsible digital generation.
“We believe that synergy between higher education and primary or secondary schools is crucial. Students need strong ethics and digital safety awareness from an early age. This foundation helps build a digitally empowered generation,” Putra said.
The session featured Eka Dyah Pramusinta, S.E., as the keynote speaker. She encouraged students to use social media wisely, noting that it offers many opportunities for personal development.

Highlighting Digital Risks and Financial Awareness
Eka also warned about online fraud and gambling, especially as these threats increasingly target younger users.
“Social media offers great benefits—from expanding knowledge to opening digital business opportunities. However, students must remain vigilant about online scams and the rising trend of youth-targeted gambling,” she explained.
Maridi, S.Pd., Vice Principal for Curriculum Affairs at SMP Negeri 1 Depok Sleman, also delivered remarks. He emphasized the need to introduce digital financial literacy to junior high school students. This knowledge prepares them for a safe and informed digital future.
The RG Governance and Corporate Finance FEB UNS hopes this effort will support youth development. They aim to nurture tech-savvy, financially literate students who understand digital risks. As a result, the program contributes to the realization of SDG 4 by promoting inclusive and sustainable education for all. HUMAS UNS
