UNS – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta welcomed the Vice Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Agus Jabo Priyono. The visit took place at the Soemarno Building, FKIP UNS, on Friday (9/5/2025). It was a follow-up to a previous meeting between FKIP UNS and the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) held in Jakarta on April 28, 2025.
Prof. Irwan Trinugroho, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., UNS Vice Rector for Planning, Partnership, Internationalization, and Information, welcomed the Vice Minister. Also present were Dr. Imam Sujadi, M.Si., Dean of FKIP UNS, and other faculty leaders, including:
- Prof. Dr. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Si. (Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni)
- Dr. paed. Nurma Yunita Indriyanti, S.Pd., M.Si., M.Sc. (Vice Dean for Academic and Research Affairs)
- Dr. Yuyun Estriyanto, S.T., M.T. (Vice Dean for Non-Academic Affairs)
- Drs. Bambang Dwi Wahyudi (Deputy Chairman of the UNS Alumni Association – IKA UNS)
Strengthening Educational and Social Partnerships
The meeting took place in a warm and productive atmosphere. It focused on expanding collaborative efforts between FKIP UNS and the Ministry of Social Affairs. Key discussion areas included community empowerment, education, and student engagement.
Dr. Imam Sujadi stated that UNS fully supports the Ministry’s community empowerment programs. This includes the Thematic Community Service Program (KKN Tematik). UNS will send students to various regions through this program. They will actively support community development based on local potential.
“UNS will provide special training or a Training of Trainers (ToT) program to prepare students. This will ensure they fully understand the program’s goals and their roles,” Dr. Imam explained.
FKIP lecturers have conducted research that maps regional potential. The faculty will submit this research to the Ministry as supporting data.


Support for the Sekolah Rakyat Program
Furthermore, FKIP UNS will play an active role in strengthening the Sekolah Rakyat program initiated by the Ministry. UNS will contribute human resources and conceptual input. This support will help develop an educational model that nurtures identity and character.
“FKIP UNS will offer educational concept recommendations for Sekolah Rakyat, ensuring it becomes a meaningful platform that shapes national character,” Dr. Imam added.
The visit aims to solidify the partnership between UNS and the Ministry of Social Affairs. This collaboration will lead to impactful programs that benefit communities across Indonesia. Humas UNS
