UNS – The Vice President (Wapres) of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), Prof. Dr. K.H. Ma’ruf Amin attended the 44th Anniversary of the Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Wednesday (11/3/2020). In his speech, Prof. Ma’aruf hopes that UNS can become the agent to deliver excellent Human Resource (HR).
“I’m happy because, on the celebration of this 44th UNS Anniversary, UNS put emphasis on character education. The character education is established on 3 aspects, namely understanding, appreciation, and the implementation of the values and character itself. Character education is in line with my thinking on excellent HR building, which currently becomes the priority of national development,” Prof. Ma’aruf explained.
On several occasions, Prof. Ma’aruf always mentioned that an excellent HR is a healthy, smart, highly productive HR, productive in creating something useful and benefited other, competitive, love the country, have noble morals and moral behavior.
“And I am sure, UNS can be the agent to prepare an excellent HR,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Rector UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho feels highly honored for the presence of the Wapres RI in UNS. He also thanked the Minister of Health RI Letjen (Purn) TNI dr.
