UNS — Bengawan Unmanned Vehicle (UV) Team Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta obtained another achievement amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Bengawan UV successfully brought home the first and second prizes in 3D Pattern Aeromodelling in Technogine Exhibition held by Department of Physics Engineering, Universitas Telkom on 17-20 November 2020.
Narasena Team obtained the first winner. This team has four members, Abdunnafi Naufal Mumtazi from Industrial Engineering 2017 as Pilot and Muhammad Ravi Rachman, Electrical Engineering student 2018, as Co-Pilot. The other two members acted as Mechanic 1 and 2, Andreal Muhammad N from Mechanical Engineering 2019 and Aulia Vici Yunitasari, Electrical Engineering student 2017. As the team leader, Mumtaz stated that this competition’s preparation took one month for research and training. The obstacle experienced by the team is the use of the battery; otherwise, Mumtaz explained that there are no other obstacles.
Mumtaz also conveyed his happiness for the achievement he obtained with his team, which is supported by one of the team members, Ravi. “Alhamdulillah, I’m delighted because our hard works are finally paid off. For future expectation, hopefully, Bengawan UV Team can continue to excel and enters the unmanned vehicle competition at the international level,” Ravi conveyed to uns.ac.id team Monday (23/11/2020)
The other team who also brought a proud name for UNS in the same category is Cakra Jagatara Team. This team has four members, Alif Danarto Guna from History Education 2019 as Pilot, Geovani Rahmat Ilahi from Electrical Engineering 2019 as Co-Pilot, Alfian Muhammad Fauzi Physics Program 2019, and Muhammad Hilmy Hafidien from Diploma Program (D3) Mechanical Engineering 2019 as mechanics. On this occasion, Alif Danarto Guna also won the Best Pilot category. The Aeromodelling lover also conveyed his happiness for the achievement he obtained with his team. “Thankful and becomes a spirit for me to upgrade my skills further,” Alif said.
Alif added that in the future he hopes that this achievement will become a trigger for him and other fellow students to continue working and bring proud names for UNS and Bengawan UV in the national and international level. In this competition Bengawan UV UNS Team conguered the other 13 teams from various top universities in Indonesia such as Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta (UTY), Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), Universitas Pembangunan Negara Veteran Yogyakarta (UPNVY) and Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). Previously Bengawan UV UNS Team has won 2nd prize for Indonesia Flying Robot Competition (Kompetisi Robot Terbang Indonesia – KRTI) and seven medals in Unmanned Speed Boat Contest (Kontes Kapal Cepat Tak Berawak – KKCTBN) 2020.
