UNS, Riau — The Association for the Alumni (IKA) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, in Riau held a silaturahim and consolidation on Saturday (1/2/2020) housed in the residence of the former Governor of Riau for the period 2016-2018, Ir. Arsyadjuliandi Rachman, MBA.
Arsyadjuliandi Rachman, who is the alumni from the Faculty of Agriculture (FP) UNS, were welcoming the member of IKA UNS Riau totaling to 41 persons warmly. On the occasion, the alumni of Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering (FT) UNS, who is also the President Director of PT. Adhi Karya, Ir. Budi Harto, M. M, also attended the event and mingling with the members of IKA UNS Riau.
In the front of IKA UNS Riau members, Arsyadjuliandi Rachman, said that the existence of IKA UNS in Riau should contribute to the Riau community.
“We are here to give our best and contribute to ‘Bumi Lancang Kuning’,” said Arsyadjuliandi Rachman said to uns.ac.id.
The silaturahim and consolidation of IKA UNS Riau are not only to strengthen the relationship among the UNS alumni, but it also has an important agenda, namely the inauguration of the administrator. Those who were elected as the Chairman of IKA UNS Riau, Drs. Tugiman, M. S and Vice Chairman of IKA UNS Riau, Ir. Muryanto, M. Si.
“Yesterday was a silaturahim and consolidation meeting because the Chairman and Vice-Chairman position are vacant. As a replacement, I will act as the chairman and the Vice-Chairman is Ir. Muryanto, M. Si,” said Tugiman.
In his interview with uns.ac.id, Drs. Tugiman, said that one of the objectives of this silaturahim and consolidation of IKA UNS Riau is as a medium to match the perceptions about work programs of IKA UNS Riau. Moreover, he also mentioned some of his wishes on IKA UNS Riau.
“I wish IKA UNS Riau can recruit new members through word of mouth to improve the silaturahim among the alumni both through WhatsApp Group and quarterly meeting, information exchange on job or business opportunities, the importance of permanent secretariat for IKA UNS, the realization of village assistance with a multi-disciplinary scientific approach,” he added.
Further, to finalize the organizational structure of IKA UNS in Bumi Lancang Kuning, Tugiman, will hold a meeting with the management of IKA UNS Riau to determine the work program.
