UNS — Eight students from Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta compete in National Competition for Mathematics and Natural Science (KN MIPA) on 7-10 September 2020. These students are M. Rosyid Ridho, Rizma Yudatama, Vie’an Huzair, Dewa Putu Adhi, Daniel Sugihantoro, Meilani Ayu Safira, Jivano Antoni, and Achmad Nurul. In the competition, they represent UNS in four contested fields, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. Previously they have participated in the regional selection through a Computer Based Test (CBT) on August 2020.
One of the delegates for Physics, Meilani Ayu Safira from Medicine Education Program Faculty of Medical Science (FK) UNS stated that she is happy and touched when she was declared to be qualified for final national round. Additionally, she will make various preparation for the final round, starting from studying, preparing mental and technical comprehension.
This is the first experience for Meilani who is in her 3rd semester in FK UNS. Even though this is the first KN MIPA that she participated in, she hopes that UNS will get maximum results. While, Dewa Putu Adhi Nugraha Anom, the delegate for Biology also conveyed a similar notion. He feels happy because he can bring UNS name at the national level competition. But behind the happiness, there is responsibility and expectation that must be met. He also prepares his best for the final round.
The final round will be held for four days from 7-10 September online. On the first day, there will be an opening and a technical meeting, then on the second and third day, all finalists will work on the questions for two hours. Then the announcement of the championship will be announced on the last day of the closing of the National MIPA KN. Humas UNS
