UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, through its Ilmu Quran (IQ) Student Association, prepare other delegates for the National University Students Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQMN) 2021. Socialization was held for all participants of delegates selection on Sunday (25/4/2021).
Mohamad Amirudin, S.Pd., as the Supervisor of Tilawah UNS, shared the assessment aspects in the competition that participants need to prepare. In Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ), Ustaz Amir stated that there are differences in murratal for the championship, for an imam, and personal Quran recitation. Murratal for the championship is special. To the 60 participants, he stated that the first assessment aspect is tajwid. This aspect includes makhraj of the letter, characters of letters, arrangement of the letter, and a long or short reading of letters.
The second aspect is rhythm and voice: melodic, clear, full, and clear articulation of voice. The third aspect is rhythm and variation. Participants are encouraged to use murratal song that has dynamics and contain serenity. “Not only beautiful but (that) capture the appreciation. Not forced variation. Flexible movement from one letter to another. Tartil reading. Clear tajwid. Not rushing and reading solemnly,” Ustaz Amir explained.
Breath control is a vital aspect to train and noticed as it is related to stopping and starting at appropriate places that will not change the overall definition of an ayah when a reader cannot complete one ayah to the end. “It is supported by nahwu and shorof knowledge. And how to stop when there is no waqaf,” he explained.
Another category discussed by Ustaz Amir is the Musabaqah for Quran Computer Application Design. This category has many aspects assessed, including the innovation, impact on users or community, potential application sustainability, ease of use, and application development programs that follow good development methods.
Besides Ustaz Amir, the socialization was also attended by the 1st winner of Tartil MTQMN 2019 in Unsyiah, Andika Darma Putra, S.Pd., who shared his experience. The participants of MTQ Internal UNS confirmed by uns.ac.is in writing this news was 64 people and is possible to increase because the managing committee will open another registration, especially for Musabaqah for Quran Computer Application Design (DAQ) and Musabaqah Hifdzil Qur’an (MHQ).
The stages until delegates depart to the competition include selection, online supervision in June to July, Training Centre in August, and the departure to MTQMN. Humas UNS
