UNS — Democracy and National Resilience Study Center (Pusdemtanas) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a unique awarding ceremony through jazz Night event in UNS BIMA Jazz Nite “Researchers Singing” on Monday (21/3/2022).
The Chairman of UNS BIMA Jazz Nite Committee, R. Prihandjojo Andri Putranto, dr. M.Si., stated that this event is a relaxation for UNS researchers. He hoped that after relaxing, researchers could find new ideas to study.
“UNS BIMA Jazz Nite is an effort, window, and catharsis for Pusdemtanas researchers when they burn out. This idea was proposed because music is believed to bring relaxation. We selected jazz because it has great dynamics and harmony,” dr. Andri stated.
Chairwoman of LPPM UNS, Prof. Dr. Okid Parama Astirin, was delighted with the idea and stated that it could be implemented continuously. She also explained that the jazz nite also has P2M Award for natural science and social science faculty members. LPPM UNS also granted an award for faculty members who are productive in providing innovation and creation through copyright and patent. “Hopefully, this award could boost your performances. Compete, create, and accomplish something for UNS. I am proud and congratulation,” Prof. Okid stated.
The Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, who attended the event offline, appreciated the UNS BIMA Jazz Nite. Prof. Jamal also appreciated LPPM UNS’ efforts to encourage faculty members to continue improving their performance by granting awards.
“I appreciated my fellows in Pusdemtanas. One of the Research Centers that never stopped innovating, having events amid their activities. Tonight, we relax our nerves with jazz,” Prof. Jamal stated.
In collaboration with Bank Jateng, LPPM UNS granted P2M Award to professors in natural sciences: Prof. Dr. Bambang Suhardi, S.T., M.T. (Faculty of Engineering), Prof. Dr. Ir. Bambang Pujiasmanto, M.S. (Faculty of Agriculture), and Prof. Dr. ir. Endang Siti Rahayu, M.S. (Faculty of Agriculture). The award was also granted to professors in social science and humanities, Prof. Irwan Trinugroho, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Faculty of Economics and Business), Prof. Doddy Setiawan, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Ak. (Faculty of Economics and Business), dan Prof. Dr. Andayani, M.Pd. (Faculty of Teacher Training and Education).
Faculty members with patents, such as Dr. Eng. Hendri Widiyandari, S.Si., M.Si.; Prof. Dr. Fitria Rahmawati, S.Si., M.Si.; Dr. Khorina Dwi N, S.Si., M.Si.; Ir. Arif Jumari, M.Sc.; Prof. Dr. Mulyanto, M.Pd.; and Prof. Dr. techn. Suyitno, S.T., M.T., also received similar awards, followed by faculty members with copyrights such as Yudho Yudhanto, S.Kom., M.Kom.; Fendi Aji Purnomo, S.Si., M.Eng.; and Hartatik, S.Si., M.Si., who are from the Vocational School (SV) UNS.
