UNS – The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum. welcomed seven UNS athletes from the Sea Games Team and the 2023 Asean Para Games. The reception was held offline at Meeting Room I, Dr. Prakosa UNS on Thursday (25/5/2023).
The seven athletes are Nanda Mei Sholihah, student of the Faculty of Sports (FKOR) UNS; Figo Saputra, student of FKOR UNS; Ryan Arda Diarta, student of FKOR UNS; Marcelino Michael, student of FKOR UNS; Karisma Evi Tiarani, student of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UNS; Ni Made Arianti Putri, student of FKIP UNS; and Khoirudin Mustakim, student of FKOR UNS.
On this occasion the Vice Rector for Academic, Research and Student Affairs UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S., the Director of Academic and Student Reputation UNS, Drs. Sutanto, M.Sc., the Head of UNS Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, Drs. Rohman Agus Pratomo, and the Vice Dean for Academic, Research and Student Affairs FKOR UNS, Dr. Rony Syaifullah, S.Pd., M.Pd.
In his remarks, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal expressed his gratitude to the athletes from the UNS Sea Games Team who had struggled to make achievements and the Asean Para Games athletes who would strive to get the best results.
“I really appreciate the achievements made by UNS athletes. Of course UNS really appreciates UNS athletes who have contributed both at the national and international levels,” Prof. Jamal said.
Furthermore, Prof. Jamal added that for UNS athletes who have won achievements, they will be given appropriate awards. For example, those who get gold medals at the international level can continue their undergraduate to postgraduate studies (S-3) for free at UNS. Then, those who get the silver medal will be given an award to be able to continue their undergraduate and postgraduate studies (S-2) for free at UNS. As well, for those who get a bronze medal, they will be free of charge for their Bachelor degree at UNS.
“Hopefully this appreciation can motivate the athletes at UNS to continue to excel. Once again, I am very happy and proud of the achievements of these UNS athletes. Today I accept with pride your achievements that have made UNS proud,” Prof. Jamal said. Humas UNS
