Rumah Sehat 2 UNS for Self-Quarantine is Officially Open

UNS — Rumah Sehat 2 Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta for self-quarantine is opened. This facility is provided for UNS academic members, and the surrounding community tested positive for Covid-19 with no symptoms or minor symptoms and no comorbidities. The opening ceremony was attended by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, Vice-Rector for Management and Human Resources Affairs UNS, Prof. Bandi, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Affairs UNS, Prof. Kuncoro Diharjo, UNS Hospital Director, Prof. Hartono, the Chief of Surakarta Health Office, Siti Wahyuningsih, Jebres Police Chief, Kompol Suharmono, Jebres Sub-District Head, Sulistiarini, and other invited guests on Wednesday (28/7/2021).

In the opening ceremony, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, and guests surveyed the Building E UNS Student Dormitory designated as Rumah Sehat 2 UNS. “UNS has two Rumah Sehat. Rumah Sehat 1 is located in Merc Building UNS Hospital complex that operates since January 2021 with 180 beds. Rumah Sehat 2 UNS is located in Building E UNS Student Boarding House that is officially opened today (Wednesday (28/7/2021)),” Prof. Jamal explained.

Rumah Sehat 2 UNS provides 114 rooms, 10 rooms with AC, 228 beds, 2 bathrooms/room, and additional facilities such as three meals time, multivitamin, Wi-Fi, TV, sports facilities, sunbathing area, yard, garden, and cooking utensils. “Rumah Sehat 1 in UNS Hospital complex is opened for people from Sukoharjo and UNS academic members. This Rumah Sehat 2 we prioritized for students and UNS academic members and community around Jebres as a form of CSR from UNS,” Prof. Jamal added.

Rumah Sehat 2 UNS for Self-Quarantine is Officially Open

UNS has prepared a task force to handle the mechanism to receive care from Rumah Sehat 2 UNS. People who tested positive for Covid-19 with no symptoms or minor symptoms without comorbidities can contact the task force directly. “Local community can contact their RT or RW. The use of Rumah Sehat 1 and 2 UNS for Covid-19 patients self-quarantine is free as a form of social solidarity,” Prof. Jamal stated.

On this occasion, Prof. Jamal keeps reminding the participants to apply health protocols by wearing a mask, maintaining physical distancing, washing hands, being vaccinated, and avoiding the crowd. Humas UNS
