UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS0 Surakarta earns two awards in the Dikti Public Relation Award (AHD), Minister of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) 2020 for Univerisity as Legal Entity (PTN BH). The awards are 3rd place in Pers Conference/Pers Release category and 1st Runner Up in the Social Media category. The award was delivered directly by the General Director for Higher Education (Dirjen DIKTI) Kemendikbud, Prof. Nizam, virtually on Wednesday (23/12/2020).
Prof. Nizam states that AHD is a recurring annual event. “We thank all participating universities in the 2020 AHD,” Prof. Nizam states in his opening remark.
The UNS Vice-Rector for Partnership and Planning Affairs, Prof. Sajidan appreciates the achievement in AHD 2020. “I appreciate the performance of UNS PR team with their achievement as the 3rd winner in Pers Conference/Pers Release category, and 1st Runner up in the Social Media category. The progress of Dr. Deddy Whinata and the PR team in achieving the UNS PR performance target is excellent. For instance, the UNS Youtube Channel Subscribers increased from 4,500 in April, when Dr. Deddy is inaugurated as UNS PR Deputy, to 8,620 subscribers in June 2020 and soared to 28,500 by December 23rd, 2020,” Prof. Sajidan explains.
This condition hopefully can alleviate UNS reputation at national competition such as AHD and global ranking for Webometric (currently UNS is ranked 10th at the national level) and Uni Rank 4ICU (ranked 8th at the national level).
Meanwhile, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho is thankful for the achievements in AHD 2020 and considering it as the most beautiful gift for UNS during its 3 (three) months period as a PTN BH. “Alhamdulillah, as a new PTN BH starting on October 6th, 2020, UNS can compete with the other 11 PTN BH universities. Hopefully, in 2021 UNS can get greater achievement and won 1st place,” Prof. Jamal hopes.
On the other hand, the UNS PR Deputy, Dr. Deddy Whinata added that UNS PR is committed to delivering information to the reporters during the Covid-19 pandemic. “We are grateful for the support and prayer from all parties, thus UNS can achieve this great accomplishment.
