UNS — Three students from Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta won gold medals for Indonesia at the 2023 Asean Para Games (APG) in Cambodia. The three students are Karisma Evi Tiarani from the Communication Studies Study Program (FISIP UNS), Figo Saputra from the Faculty of Sports (FKOR) UNS and Ryan Arda Diarta from FKOR UNS.
The Dean of FKOR UNS, Dr. Sapta Kunta Purnama conveyed that Karisma Evi Tiarani won a gold medal in the T-42/44 Women’s Long Jump Para Athletics, Figo Saputra won a gold medal in the T-46 Men’s Long Jump Para Athletics, and Ryan Arda Diarta also won a gold medal in the Men’s Para Athletics Relay 4 x 100M T42-47.
“We are very proud, because there are three UNS students who until Monday (5/6/2023) afternoon won gold medals for Indonesia,” Dr. Kunta explained, Monday (5/6/2023).
Dr. Kunta hopes that the number of gold medals won by the UNS and Indonesian delegations in the APG 2023 will continue to increase. “Yes, I hope that there will be more gold medals because there are still competitions for other sports.
