UNS — The Academic and Students Affairs Bureau, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, held a Coordination Meeting on Student Affairs Organization(Ormawa) Work Program 2021 on Friday (8/1/2021) afternoon. The coordination meeting was led directly by Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Ahmad Yunus, UNSDirector of Academic Reputation and Student Affairs, Dr. Sutanto and UNS Chief of Academic Bureau and Student Affairs, Drs. Rohman Agus Pratomo.
In front of the representative from all Ormawa at the university level, Prof. Ahmad Yunus introduces himself as the new Vice-Rector for student affairs after the determination of UNS as a University with Legal entity (PTN BH) on October 6th, 2020. Previously, the position was held by Prof. Kuncoro Diharjo, who currently serves as UNS Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Affairs.
“All matters are governed autonomously. Previously we are University as Public Service Agency (BLU) and now PTN BH. Let’s work well together as a family,” Prof. Ahmad Yunus states.
He specifically requested that the coordination for academic and student affairs can run harmoniously. He described the relationship between the academic and student affairs bureau with the students such a father and son.
“We as your father, Mr. Tanto (Dr. Sutanto) also as your father. In the process I and Mr. Tanto and Mr. Tomi (red.: Drs. Rohman Agus Pratomo) will monitor your activities,” explains Prof. Yunus.
Separately, after the event, the Head of Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, Drs. Rohman Agus Pratomo, states that the coordination is more focused on the current issues and general focus. Furthermore, he reveals that more detailed matters such as financial budgeting for Ormawa Work Program 2021, will be discussed in the next meeting/coordination. Humas UNS
