UNS – Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta has achieved outstanding results in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings (WUR) by Subject 2025. UNS earned top positions in several categories, including securing the number one national ranking in Law and Physical Science. These accomplishments highlight its consistent progress on both national and global stages.
In the Law category, UNS ranked 1st nationally and 201–250 globally, achieving a score of 36.6–39.7. This milestone underscores UNS’s academic strength and international reputation in the legal field.
Similarly, UNS dominated the Physical Science category, claiming 1st place nationally and ranking 801–1,000 globally with a score of 26.1–32.0. This result reflects the university’s commitment to advancing research and innovation in physics and related disciplines.
In Engineering, UNS achieved 2nd place nationally and 1,001–1,250 globally, with a score of 19.5–25.5. This ranking demonstrates its growing expertise in technology and engineering.
The university also performed well in Education Studies, placing 3rd nationally and 501–600 globally with a score of 27.6–31.0. This achievement highlights UNS’s significant role in fostering quality education.
Other notable rankings include:
- Social Science: 3rd nationally and 601–800 globally (score: 25.1–30.8)
- Business and Economy: 3rd nationally and 601–800 globally (score: 26.6–32.1)
- Computer Science: 3rd nationally and 1,001+ globally (score: 11.4–21.4)
- Life Science: 3rd nationally and 1,001+ globally (score: 10.8–20.7)
- Medical Health: 4th nationally and 1,001+ globally (score: 11.8–20.6)
