UNSBank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Tengah (Bank Jateng) has donated a Digital Mini Bank Laboratory to the Vocational School of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. The Digital Mini Bank Lab was handed over by Bank Jateng to UNS during a launching event held on the 7th floor of the UPT Library Building at UNS on Thursday (1/8/2024).

The collaboration between UNS and Bank Jateng has been long-standing, encompassing various fields and opportunities such as loans, pension funds for financial institutions, tuition fee collection, payroll management, and support for the UNS Hospital.

“We fully support UNS’s vision to become an internationally acclaimed university in the fields of arts, technology, and science. Thus, our support through the Mini Bank Lab is part of our collaboration,” Wiweko Probojakti, Director of IT, Consumer, and Network at Bank Jateng, explained.

The Acting Rector of UNS, Dr. Chatarina Muliana, S.H., S.E., M.H., who was present at the event, expressed her gratitude and high appreciation to Bank Jateng for facilitating the Vocational School of UNS with the Digital Mini Bank Laboratory, which will be used for student learning and practicum in the D3 Finance and Banking Study Program and the D4 Digital Banking and Finance Study Program.

“With the Digital Mini Bank Laboratory, I hope that the students of the UNS Vocational School can develop their competencies more optimally, preparing themselves to become reliable and integrated professionals. I also encourage the entire UNS academic community to make the best use of this facility. Let us make this laboratory a center for learning, research, and innovation in the field of digital banking,” Dr. Chatarina said.

The Acting Rector of UNS also extended her thanks to all parties who contributed to the establishment of this laboratory and hoped that the cooperation between UNS and Bank Jateng would continue to strengthen and provide greater benefits to all parties in advancing the field of education.

Also present as an invited guest was the Head of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) of Surakarta City, Eko Hariyanto. He expressed his hope that the Mini Bank facility would benefit the students and the entire academic community at UNS.

“With this Mini Bank, we hope to provide convenience in daily financial transactions and offer faster services. Additionally, it can serve as a beneficial educational facility, providing students with the opportunity to learn about banking financial management firsthand,” Eko said.
