UNS — Islamic Teaching Group for the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP-red: a women organization whose members are the wife of Indonesian civil servant) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a routine Friday Sharing. This time around, the DWP UNS organize this event along with a generous bazaar for feasible to use goods. The Head of DWP UNS, Budhi Widjayanti Jamal Wiwoho, states that this bazaar was conducted at an open space, to be precise, in UNS Rector Official Housing Friday (20/11/2020).
“The bazaar was conducted at an open space to reduce the crowd. Moreover, this activity stays in compliance with the health protocols in times of a pandemic,” explains Budhi during the event.
On this occasion, Budhi adds that before the DWP UNS Islamic teaching members and admin distribute the free lunch for the cleaning staff on the UNS campus, and the invited cleaning staff are encouraged to choose any feasible to use goods from the bazaar. To get the goods home, they were requested to donate some money voluntarily known as “Kencleng Tebar Peduli.”
“The goods consist of clothes, worship equipment, bag, shoes, and household appliances,” Budhi adds.
The visitors of the generous bazaar were enthusiastic. They seem happy with the activity organized by the member of DWP UNS.
“By donating voluntarily, they can get various goods and tools they like. The result of these sales will be collected and returned to society in the next event. Hopefully, we can continuously hold this Friday event with an increasing number of recipients. Aamiin. Barakallah for those who share and receive the sharing,” Budhi wishes. Humas UNS
