UNS Officially Issued Circular on Face-to-Face Learning

UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta officially issued a Circular Letter (SE) Nomor 87/UN27/PK.01.03/2021 on Face-to-Face Learning for Undergraduate and Diploma Programs in Universitas Sebelas Maret on Thursday (2/9/2021). The circular letter signed by the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs UNS, Prof. Ahmad Yunus, contains several regulations that must be obeyed by students, faculties, and vocational school.

First, PTM UNS will emphasize the conditional and gradual principles, meaning that the class session will be limited, and the classroom will only have 30 percent of its actual capacity. This regulation is in line with the instruction from the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, who emphasized that PTM will be conducted slowly to prevent large mobility in the campus ground.

The circular also requires all UNS academic members to implement Covid-19 health protocols. The Vice-Rector also require faculties and vocational school to disinfect their classrooms and practice equipment.

‘The supervision on health protocols implementation falls under the responsibility of Vice Dean 1 in each faculty and vocational school’ – Point D SE Number 87/UN27/PK.

“UNS Academic Members who participate in the campus activities must be healthy and live in Solo, Karanganyar, Boyolali, Sukoharjo, Wonogiri, Sragen, and Klaten,” Prof. Ahmad Yunus stated.

The fourth requirement is, UNS requires students who participated in the PTM to have permission from their parents and bring the permission letter with them, and they must have been vaccinated at least with the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine. Students are required to show their vaccination certificates.

Point E in the SE Number 87/UN27/PK.01.03/2021 also requires a physical examination before entering the campus ground.

Students who cannot participate in offline learning join through the online platform that will be managed by each program. Humas UNS
