UNS — The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho expressed the plan for 5 (five) study programs in 4 (four) faculties to obtain Kampus Merdeka-Merdeka Belajar Grants from the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) RI. This plan is delivered by Prof. Jamal in his opening remarks after bicycling around UNS Campus in Kentingan along with the university leaders and deanery, Friday (5/2/2021).
The five study programs are Agrotechnology Program, Faculty of Agriculture (FP) UNS, Mechanical Engineering Program, Faculty of Engineering (FT) UNS, Physics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science (FMIPA) UNS, and Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNS. “Let’s pray for the five study programs that got proposed at the national level to obtain the IDR 500 billion for the program (Kampus Merdeka-Merdeka Berlajar Program),” Prof. Jamal expressed.
Prof. Jamal adds that from the total funding provided by the Kemendikbud RI, UNS budgeted IDR 25.5 billion for the five programs. Furthermore, there will be additional funding for each study program that can achieve the Main Performance Indicator (IKU). This additional funding, as addressed by Prof. Jamal, is known as IKU Leap Funding. Later on, any study program that deemed worthy of receiving the IKU Leap Funding will get IDR 1.5 billion. The Funding is provided to encourage each study program to implement accelerative actions after the determination of UNS as a State University with Legal Entity (PTNBH) in October last year.
“For accelerative policy, we also provide funding. For study programs in each faculty, in 2021 we prepare IDR 19.7 billion for all, which is the program that can fulfill the IKUs,” Prof. Jamal explains.
On this occasion, Prof. Jamal also praises the accelerative step taken by the Dean of FP UNS, Prof. Samanhudi, who targetted for its 6 (six) study programs to get international accreditation this year. The study programs are Agrotechnology, Soil Science, Animal Husbandry, Agribusiness, Agricultural Extension & Communication, and Food Technology (ITP). Later, these study programs will apply and get accredited for The Agency for Quality Assurance through the Accreditation of Study Programs. Humas UNS
