UNS – Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho inaugurated 40 new officials of UNS for the period 2019-2023. They are Chairpersons and Secretaries of Institutes, Director and Vice Director of Postgraduate Program, and Vice Deans of Faculties in UNS. The inauguration that took place at G.P.H. Haryo Mataram Auditorium of UNS on Monday (05/20/2019) was held solemnly.
UNS Rector, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho in his speech congratulated all 40 new officials who had been inaugurated. Prof. Jamal hopes that these new officials can immediately create enhancement in their respective responsibilities.
“I anticipate the current officials can directly get in to the each position and repair here and there,” he said.
In leading UNS, Prof. Jamal has launched five pillars. The first is realization of the professionalism and welfare of human resources. The Second Pillar is acceleration of publication and innovation. In this case, he hopes that the existence of Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) can oversee the development of research and community service and conduct publications, production, and commercialization.
The third pillar is re-orientation acceleration of learning system that is in line with era of industrial revolution 4.0.
“Must be able to compete in this era of industrial revolution 4.0. Of course accreditation must be upgraded, there is no C and B accreditation, must be A,” he added.
Then the fourth pillar is institution development and literacy reinforcement, and the fifth pillar is optimization of law enforcement, partnership, and bureaucracy.
“I expect all the inaugurated officials can resolve the existing dynamic promptly. Also, in one or two months will be able to arrange business and budget plan for 2020 including draft of Long Term Development Plan (RPJP) for 2019-2023. Surely, the draft should be in accordance with vision and mission of the Deans,” he explained.
In the end of his speech, Prof. Jamal expressed his gratitude to the former officials for period 2015-2019 who had dedicated themselves to UNS and thanks to their loyalty, UNS could develop as it is today. Humas UNS/Try
