UNS — A proud achievement was obtained by two students from the Mechanical Engineering Education Program (PTM) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. the two students are Dji Hanafit and Muhammad Khoirul Huda won the first place in national essay competition on ‘IKAB National Scientific Writing and Youth Competition’ held by Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) Makassar. Besides securing the first position, they also selected as the best presentation in the competition.
In the competition held online on Friday (4/9/2020), they presented a study on ‘Falmafast Machine’ in PTM FKIP UNS Seminar Room. ‘Falmafast Machine’ raised a technology that utilized renewable energy sources. “We developed a technology that utilizes renewable energy sources, we developed a technology to increase the scale of production processes or activities in coastal communities. We utilized solar panel and wind turbines. Solar panel transforms renewable energy source into electricity, then wind turbines is used to transform wind energy into electrical energy,” Dji Hanafit explained in communication with uns.ac.id team on Saturday (12/9/2020).
The output of their research is a simulation video in the form of animation. They admitted that they were challenged and their preparation requires additional efforts such as preparing network setup and make a fitting position while the video is playing while presenting. Dji and Muhammad need one week to formulate the idea. They hope that ‘Falmafast Machine’ development will enable them to utilize the existing solar power and wind energy. Humas UNS
