UNS – Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta won three awards at the 2019 Public Relations Award for Public University (Perguruan Tinggi Negeri – PTN) and Higher Education Service Institute (Lembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi – LLDikti) held by The Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi – Kemenristekdikti).
In these award competitions, UNS succeeded in securing a high rank in each category held for Public University in “Badan Layanan Umum (BLU)” group. The ranks secured by UNS are first place for the best Social Media, second position for Media Relations, and third place for Website.
The rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho stated that the awards won by the Public Relation of UNS are a new year gift for the university.
“In early 2020, UNS won Public Relations award in three categories from Kemenristekdikti, this is a very proud achievement,” Prof. Jamal Wiwoho said, Tuesday (7/1/2020). Prof. Jamal Wiwoho also thanked all the academic community of UNS and the media.
Meanwhile, the Vice-Rector of Planning and Partnership, Prof. Sajidan added that UNS won similar awards in 2017 and 2018.
“Therefore, in three consecutive years of Public Relation Award, UNS always won awards in three categories assessed; Website, Media Relation, and Social Media, we hope that in the following year the achievement can be improved continuously and even better,” Prof Sajidan stated.
The Deputy of Public Relations UNS, Dr. Intan Novela QA added that the aspects assessed at the Public Relations Award consist of information service quality through the website, social media, and media relation.
