UNS — University Student Choir (Paduan Suara Mahasiswa – PSM) Voca Erudita Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta presented a collaboration with 78 Youth Choir, Saturday (28/11/2020) night. The collaboration titled Singing Through the Screen: In Harmony – November Edition was broadcasted through the YouTube channel of 78 Youth Choir.
Two songs were performed in the event “Malaikat Juga Tahu” (red: Angels Knows) from Dewi Lestari and “Berhenti Berharap” (Stop Hoping) from Sheila on 7. On their performance, Voca Erudita sent 40 representatives to sing the first song, “Malaikat Juga Tahu” which has been arranged by Voca Erudita Conductor Ardian Dika Adhyatma. The collaboration was completed with Daniel Alexander Tan as pianist and Sita Nursanti as soloist. In the 16 minutes performance, the representatives from Voca Erudita and 78 Youth Choir also shared the choirs’ challenges during the pandemic. However, with technology and a creative perspective, people can still enjoy the choir’s performance amid the pandemic.
“This collaboration aims to fill the routine schedule of 78 Youth Choir Jakarta. Amid the pandemic, they held a regular monthly event by inviting other choirs. For November, Voca Erudita has the opportunity to have a collaboration with them,” the public relation of Voca Erudita, Margaretha, stated.
The collaboration was summarized with the performance from 78 Youth Choir who sang “Berhenti Berharap” song, arranged by Arya Brahmantya Boga. This performance involving Daniel Alexander Tan as a pianist, Rachman Noor as a cellist, and Gabriel Harvianto as a soloist. HUMAS UNS
