1,635 Prospective Students Selected in 2022 UNS SNMPTN

UNS — A total of 1,635 participants passed the National Selection of State University (SNMPTN) for the Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta placement in 2022. This year’s total is increased from 2021, with only 1,497 passed prospective students. The 2022 SNMPTN announcement was conducted simultaneously nationally on Tuesday (3/29/2022), starting at 3:00 pm through https://pengumuman-snmptn.ltmpt.ac.id website. Nationally, there are 612,084 SNMPTN registrants in 2022, and 119,544 prospective students were accepted for a further registration process. Among those who passed the selection, 35,050 were the holders of Indonesian Smart Lecture Cards (KIP-Kuliah). The Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, said applicants for 2022 UNS SNMPTN reached 29,257. In total, there were 1,635 participants who passed the selection from 34 Provinces in Indonesia, where 482 students (29.48%) were the holder of KIP-Kuliah. “Participants who passed the selection through the 2022 UNS SNMPTN selection are 1,635 participants, where 804 participants are from the science and technology group and 831 participants in the law and humanities group. Academic Competitiveness Ratio (AKP) for the 2022 SNMPTN scheme is 1:18 (5.70%),” explained Prof. Jamal.

Two Study Programs (Study Programs) at UNS, the Pharmacy Study Program and Informatics (Computer Science) Study Program, ranked in the top 20 in terms of the National Academic Competitiveness Ratio for the science and technology group. The Pharmacy Study Program is ranked 14th with an Academic Competitiveness Ratio (AKP) of 1:58 or 1.74% in percentage. At the same time, the Informatics (Computer Science) Study Program is ranked 19th with an Academic Competitiveness Ratio (AKP) of 1:54 or 1.84% in percentage.

The top 10 programs at UNS, according to the Academic Competitiveness Ratio, are Pharmacy Study Program 1:58, Informatics (Computer Science) Study Program 1:54, Psychology Study Program 1:40, Midwifery Study Program 1:38, Medicine Education Study Program 1:33, Informatics and Computer Engineering Education Study Program 1:31, Statistics Study Program 1:22, Mechanical Engineering Study Program 1:21, Industrial Engineering Study Program 1:21, and Agribusiness Study Program 1:21

Meanwhile, for the law and humanities group, the top ten programs were Management Study Program 1:35, Language Education, Indonesian and Regional Literature Study Program with 1:30, Accounting Study Program with 1:29, Communication Science Study Program 1:29, Office Administration Education Study Program 1:27, Guidance and Counselling Study Program 1:25, Development Economics Study Program 1:24, Demography and Civil Registration Study Program 1:23, Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Surakarta Study Program 1:21, and English Literature Study Program with 1:18 AKP.

“Participants who pass the SNMPTN must carry out official registration by filling in their personal biodata to the UNS system from March 30 to April 5, 2022. Participants who do not register on the scheduled date are considered to have resigned from the UNS new student selection process. Participants who have passed SNMPTN 2022 are not allowed to register for UTBK and SBMPTN selection scheme in 2022. The KIP-Kuliah student holder who does not pass SNMPTN 2022 but wishes to take part in UTBK does not need to pay registration fees,” said Prof. Jamal.

Students who do not pass SNMPTN 2022 still get the opportunity to register for the Computer-Based Writing Examination (UTBK) and take the 2022 Joint Entrance Selection of State Universities (SBMPTN).
