UNS — Seven lecturers from Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta have been included in the World’s Top 2% Scientists List (Stanford/Elsevier) 2026. This achievement reflects the academic contributions and influence of UNS lecturers in advancing knowledge at the international level, particularly through scientific publications and research impact, as reflected in their citation records.
The seven UNS lecturers on the list come from various academic disciplines. They are Prof. Dr.Eng. Nugroho Agung Pambudi, M.Eng., from the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP); Prof. Dr. Ir. Wakhid Ahmad Jauhari, S.T., M.T., from the Industrial Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering (FT); and Prof. Ir. Agung Tri Wijayanta, S.T., M.Eng., Ph.D., and Dr.Eng. Ir. Aditya Rio Prabowo, S.T., M.T., M.Eng., from the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering.
From the Faculty of Agriculture (FP), the list includes Prof. Dr.Agr.Sc. Ernoiz Antriyandarti, S.P., M.P., M.Ec., from the Agribusiness Study Program. Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Ir. Zainal Arifin, S.T., M.T., from the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, and Agung Irawan, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D., from the Diploma III Livestock Farming Study Program, Vocational School, are also included in the list.
The Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) at UNS, Prof. Dr. I Gusti Ayu Ketut Rachmi Handayani, S.H., M.M., expressed her happiness at seeing a number of UNS researchers included in the world’s Top 2% Scientists list. She said the achievement reflects progress in research at UNS. Under the current leadership of the UNS Rector, various initiatives have continued to be introduced to accelerate improvements in the quality and international reputation of UNS research.
