UNS – Coinciding with the commemoration of the National Education Day (Hardiknas) on Thursday (05/02/2019), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a ceremony to grant Satyalancana Karya Satya award for 254 employees.
Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho explained that Satyalancana Karya Satya was a symbol of appreciation given continuously to the civil servants who had served for 10, 20, or 30 years and more by signifying the competences, disciplines, loyalty, and dedication so they can be a role model for the other employees.
“The 254 employees consist of 73 employees who have served for 10 years, 33 employees for 20 years, and 148 employees who have dedicated for 30 years,” he said.
On this occasion, UNS also handed over the certificate awards for the faculties in UNS that met the criteria of Green Campus. The first winner was occupied by Faculty of Engineering (FT), followed by Faculty of Mathematics Natural and Science (FMIPA) at the second winner, and the third winner was Faculty of Medicine (FK). Then, the consolation prize 1 and 2 were given to Faculty of Agriculture (FP) and Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD).
The other awards were accomplished by the students of UNS from various categories of competition both nationally and internationally. One of them was Sani Kamil Baldan, a student of FP who achieved the Best Paper, Best Poster, and Best Speaker in the International Conference UI Youth Enviromental Action. Humas UNS/ Kaffa/Try
