UNS—After the inauguration of the Council of Rector of Indonesia State University (CRISU) management, for the first time, the rectors of Indonesia public university held a work meeting in Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Wednesday evening (11/3/2020). The meeting was opened by the Chairman of CRISU, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho who is also the rector of UNS and attended by the Acting Director-General of Higher Education Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud), Prof. Nizam and Expert Staff of the Minister of Technology Research / National Innovation Research Agency, Prof. Ismunandar.
This CRISU meeting discussed various new policies from the ministry. “We (CRISU) discussed about many matters, for example, kampus merdeka and merdeka belajar program, accreditation policy, acceleration of PTN (Public State University) into PTNBH (Public State University Incorporated), admission of new students, the national standard of higher education, and other topics,” Prof. Jamal stated after the meeting in UNS inn, Wednesday (11/3/2020).
Attending the meeting are, among others, Dr. Apollo Safano from Universitas Cenderawasih, Prof. Philipus Betaubun (Rector of Universitas Musamus Merauke), Prof. Ashari from ITS, Prof. Mas Jaya (Rector of Universitas Mulawarman), Prof. Husain Ating (Rector of Universitas Khairun Ternate), Prof. Raka Dewi (Rector of Universitas Udayana), Prof. Yuliandri (Rector of Universitas Andalas), Prof. Garuda Wiko (Rector Universitas Tanjungpura), Dr. Erna Herawati (Rector of UPN Jakarta), Dr. Ande Elia (Rector of Universitas Palangkaraya), Prof. Jagal from UGM, and Prof. Nurlinda from Unpad. From the Polytechnic who attended the meeting are Dr. Eko Priyono (Director of Politehnik Negeri Batam), Dr. Zainal (Director of Politehnik Elektronik Negeri Surabaya), and several chairmen of PTN in Indonesia.
The meeting was attended by 35 rectors who also attended UNS 44th Anniversary, it went smoothly and the rectors were enthusiastic. Besides discussing the current issues and the dynamics in the university, CRISU also delivered the working program of each field. Among others the academics, legal and dikti policies, resources and assets, students, research, and innovation, community engagement, international partnership, national partnership, system and ICT development, coaching and character education, entrepreneurship and creative industry, art and culture, and vocation.
