UNS – The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho received grant from Bank Pembangunan Daerah (BPD) Jateng, Tuesday (16/6/2020) afternoon in the Meeting Room II dr. Prakosa Building UNS.
The grant in the form of outdoor LED display was handed by the President Director of BPD Jateng, Supriyatno, accompanied by Corporate Secretary of BPD Jateng, Irianto Harko Saputro, Director of Corporate and Commercial Business, Pujiono, and the Head of BPD Branch Coordinator Surakarta, Djaka Nur Sahid. In the ceremony, Prof. Jamal was accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Partnership and Planning Affairs UNS, Prof. Sajidan.
After receiving the grant, Prof. Jamal conveyed his gratitude for BPD Jateng concern in supporting the effort to improve facilities in UNS. The LED will be installed in Auditorium G. P. H Haryo Mataram.
“The grant from Bank Jateng has been wished due to the old facilities we have in the auditorium and BPD Jateng was responsive to develop synergy and assists us. I conveyed my gratitude to the President Director of BPD Jateng. The screens will be installed in the auditorium,” Prof. Jamal stated.
In the presence of Prof. Jamal, Supriyatno as the President Director of BPD Jateng also conveyed his gratitude for UNS openness to accept BPD Jateng. Supriyatno felt grateful that UNS has trust BPD Jateng to assist the university in managing various activities in UNS.
The number one person in BPD Jateng explained that the grant for UNS is one of the doors that open long-term partnerships between the institutions. As the local government bank, he considers that BPD Jateng has a responsibility to protect and facilitate UNS as one of the educational institutions in Central Java Province including 60% of UNS students who live in Central Java.
“If asked, who else will that have to ‘nyengkuyung’ (encourage) the Central Java if not Bank Jateng if there is the energy of togetherness and understanding Bank Jateng or UNS is not the only one that will get the benefit, but also the community and students,” Supriyatno stated.
Supriyatno expects that the inter-institution partnership in Central Java can be increased. This aims to develop Central Java, not only to support student’s activities but also to support Human Resource Development in Central Java. “We present as the bank of ‘wong Jateng’ (Central Java people). We are from Central Java, we received facilities from UNS and we are grateful. We have to work hard and work smart to capture any opportunity.
