UNS – Student Association of Biology Education or Biosfer held Fun Biology Forum (Forum Biologi Asyik – Fobia) on learning activities on Tuesday (28/7/2020). HMP Biosfer invited UNS Outstanding Student at Undergraduate program 2020, Imam Arifin as a speaker. The event was held through Zoom Meeting application and was attended by 90 participants.
Imam Arifin stated that students should have an orientation on academic, achievement, soft-skill, and beneficial aspects. Students should start with purpose, building objectives and intention. The learning process is important to explore wider knowledge by maximizing the opportunity to learn and utilizing campus facilities. Students also need to build their character and personality, be an active student, because there are many opportunities on the campus to maximize their personal quality and capacity. And last but not least, time management.
In realizing this, Imam divides into 5 steps to make a specific, measurable, action plan, reason, and time-bound achievement plan. The participants were enthusiastic during the presentation, showed from the number of questions submitted to Imam. Nadia Junaedi asked for tips to join a competition.
“First intend to take part in the competition, then look for competitions within the next 1-2 months or more. Then start with the most important thing, which is learning, from news, books, and journals. After getting problems and getting ideas, we can apply the concepts of observation, copy, and modification,” he answered. Humas UNS
