UNS — Awareness is one of the aspects that student needs to sharpen during their study at university. With compassion, a person will be able to help others sincerely. Concerning compassion, UNS students initiated a community called Hantar Kebaikan (Deliver Kindness).
Hantar Kebaikan is a community with optimism movement that aims to ease the burdens of disadvantaged people. The program was initiated by five UNS students, Misselina Madya Gerda, Mutiara Pilianing, Muslikhah Asyahadah Khoiriyah, Nur Fadillah and Selvi Setiawati. The team is also accompanied by a teacher, Nur Apni Puji Utami, in their activities.
The program has an objective to build awareness and maintain positive things. This community targeted Children with Special Needs (ABK), victims of natural disasters, orphans, and financially disadvantaged people. In achieving their objectives, this community has four main strategies, fundraising, providing assistance, distributing aid, and providing positive information.
Currently, the community has conducted the distribution of basic foods package in Boyolali, Mojosongo, Pajang, and Karanganyar. The packages were the result of a fundraising activity they performed. The community also conducted qurban in three places, Bubakrejo RT 1 RW 1, Karangmojo, Klego, Boyolali; Semak RT 4 RW 4, Kendel Village, Kemusu Sub-district, Boyolali; and lastly in Rusunawa Putri Cempo Mojosongo.
