UNS — The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, was attending the Groundbreaking for the Faculty of Law (FH) Postgraduate Building Construction, Thursday (17/9/2020). On the occasion, Prof. Jamal stated that currently collaboration and cooperation are the priority for UNS academic members. “By collaborating with external partners, university development can be done continuously. This is proved in the construction of the FH UNS Postgraduate building that receives support from PT. Pertamina as UNS partner totaled to 10 Billion rupiah,” Prof. Jamal explains.
Prof. Jamal added that alumni have a great role in UNS development. The relationship between UNS and its external partners can be well established because there are quite many UNS alumni working in various fields. One of them is Bambang Manumayoso, an alumna of FH UNS, who currently serves as the President of PT. Pertamina Huli Indonesia, who was once mentioned his wishes to contribute to the alma mater development.
“Therefore, I encourage UNS academic members who have spread their wings outside the institution to be able to invite them (alumni) to build UNS,” Prof. Jamal revealed.
Prof. Jamal also hopes that the development of campus facilities can be prevalent in all faculties, thus all UNS students can take advantage of the facilities. Meanwhile, the Dean of the FH UNS, Prof. I Gusti Ayu Ketut Rachmi Handayani, thanked all parties who have involved in the construction of the FH Postgraduate building. Prof. Ayu hopes that the construction process will run smoothly and finished by the end of this year. HUMAS UNS
