UNS — The students of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta obtain another achievement in National Scientific Writing Competition (Lomba Karya Tulis Ilmiah Nasional – LKTIN) 6th KOIN held by Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes) on Sunday (20/9/2020). The UNS Team, Rateja, won the third position in the competition. Rateja consists of Eryneta Nurul Hasanah from Javanese Language Education Program class of 2017, Ayuni Diah Melani from Local Literature Program class of 2018 and Abdul Azis from Elementary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) Surakarta class of 2018. They submitted a scientific paper titled Rateja: Innovation for Javanese Culture Introduction and Character Building on Millennials through Javanese Songs Sound Application for Android.
They went through several competition stages such as video submission, presentation, and question and answer with the juries. Initially, this competition will be held in Unnes but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the competition was held online. Eryneta, one of the team members, previously has won several essays and scientific writing competitions. In competing she always upholds the message of her lecturer which says that every human being has a share of failure and success.
“We do not know the comparison between the two, out main focus is to deplete our share of failure and then enjoy our share of success later,” she explained.
She sends a message for her fellow students to stay productive and pursue achievement amid the pandemic. As a final year student, she admitted that she wants to give a proud name for UNS before graduating. Lastly, representing her teammates, Eryneta motivates UNS students to keep on trying and not scared of failure. Humas UNS
