UNS Conducts Comparative Study and Memorandum of Understanding Signatory with Undip

UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta conducts a comparative study and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signatory with the Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), in Rectorate Building Undip, Monday (12/10/2020). The MoU was signed directly by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, and the Rector of Undip, Prof. Yos Johan Utama. The MoU was signed a week after the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, ratify the Government Regulation (PP) No. 56 of 2020 concerning Higher Education Institution with Legal Entity (PTN BH).

In his visitation to Undip, Prof. Jamal was accompanied by the Vice Rector for Finance and Management Affairs, Dr. Bandi, Vice Rector for Partnership and Planning Affairs, Prof. Sajidan, Chairman of the Senate UNS, Prof. Hasan Fauzi, UNS Rector’s Expert Staff for Management and Finance, Dr. Muhtar. The MoU signed involves several matters in education, research, community service, human resource improvement, Merdeka Belajar Program, and entrepreneurship.

“This afternoon at 1 o’clock, we were welcomed by Prof. Yos. This is something to be proud of, to learn something from Undip as a university with a legal entity (PTN BH). Let us learn together, improve the positive side, and reduce the negativity,” Prof. Jamal states.

Aside from the MoU signatory, the visitation of UNS to Undip Tembalang Campus, Semarang, also aims for a comparative study regarding the transition from a university as Public service agency (BLU) into a university with a legal entity (PTN BH).

Welcoming the UNS representatives, Prof. Yos Johan, congratulate UNS as the approval of UNS status as a PTN BH. He also shares Undip experience during the transition from BLU to PTN BH. “We, in the Undip are ready to help our fellow, helping in any way that can be useful for UNS. I congratulate UNS that inaugurated as PTN BH through the PP No 56 of 2020,” said Prof. Yos Johan.

Undip that was officially inaugurated as PTN BH in 2017, as mentioned by Prof. Yos Johan, implements several adjustments. The adjustments are, among others, the change in financial governance aside from APBN, BMU governance, organization structure and governance, governance of welfare patterns, non-civil servants staffing, and placement for an additional position for lecturer and academic support staff.
