UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the District Government (Pemerintah Kabupaten – Pemkab) Madiun. The ceremony was conducted direct by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho and the Regent of Madiun, Ahmad Dawami Ragil Saputra, S.Sos. in Pendapa Rangga Numeno Pemkab Madiun, Tuesday (27/10/2020).
The Regent of Madiun, Ahmad Dawami Ragil Saputra, S.Sos. conveyed his gratitude for the Rector of UNS and the executive board who granted a visit to Madiun for the signing ceremony. The collaboration includes the field of education, research and community services, and human resources development. “The objective of this signing ceremony is to build a synergy and optimize the potential and resource in both parties for institutional development, implementation of development, and improving community welfare in Madiun through the utilization of resources owned by both parties,” Ahmad explained.
The Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Partnership and Planning Affairs UNS, Prof. Sajidan and the Director of Vocational School (SV) UNS, Drs. Santoso Tri Hananto, M. Acc. added that this collaboration can bring benefits for both parties. “We hope that this will not stop at the ceremonial event, hopefully after this ceremony there will be a collaboration of events between UNS and Pemkab Madiun,” Prof. Jamal stated.
The ceremony was followed by a National Seminar on ‘Expanding the Access to Education to Improve the Quality of the Young Generation in Madiun District as Indonesia Golden Generation’. In the national seminar, the Regent of Madiun, Ahmad Dawami Ragil Saputra, S.Sos. and the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho became the speakers in front of all participants which consist of all officials in Pemkab Madiun and students of Vocational School UNS in Madiun Campus.
