UNS — The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho opened Tennis Tournament Sahabat Rektor (TSR) Cup on Saturday (7/11/2020) in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) UNS Tennis Court. On this occasion, Prof. Jamal was accompanied by Vice-Rector for Partnership and Planning Affairs UNS, Prof. rer. nat Sadjidan, Senior Advisor to Rector, Dr. E. Muhtar, Dean and Vice Dean for Academic Affairs FKOR, Dr. Sapta Kunta Purnama and Dr. Rony Shaifullah.
In his opening remark, Prof. Jamal stated that TSR Cup aims to strengthen silaturahmi among tennis lovers. “At least there are five groups participate (in the tournament),” Prof. Jamal explained. The Dean of Faculty of Sports (FKOR) UNS, who also acts as the Chief of Managing Committee TSR Cup, Dr. Sapta Kunta Purnama stated that at least there are 38 participants in the tournament. “They are UNS faculty members and academic staffs as well as Rector’s colleagues who share hobby in tennis. Several students of FKOR also participated as juries (in the tournament),” Dr. Sapta Kunta stated.
The coordinator of the match, Bambang Wijanarko added that this event will be held until Sunday (8/11/2020) in the same location. According to the schedule, on the second day, there will be an “interesting” match between the Rector of UNS and participant who made it to the final round. “The morning matches are between clubs in UNS. Then entering the semifinal round, they will meet a more experienced opponent,” Bambang explained. Humas UNS
