UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta establish a collaboration with Bank Indonesia Institute (BI Institute) for the Kampus Merdeka Program in BI Institute. The signing of a collaboration agreement between two institutions was conducted between the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, and the Head of BI Institute, Solikin M. Juhro, online through the Zoom Cloud Meeting, Tuesday (29/12/2020).
In the signing ceremony, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho was accompanied by Vice-Rector for Partnership and Planning Affairs, Prof. Sajidan. In his remarks, Prof. Jamal conveyed that to implement the Kampus Merdeka program; UNS is expected to participate in this program for one or two semesters. In this collaboration, the students who applied to BI Institute will receive a learning model, research, practical activities in BI Institute, and working experience. “Through this program, students will receive not only knowledge but also accommodation,” Prof. Jamal explained.
Prof. Jamal believes that this collaboration will harmonize the UNS program with the new Key Performance Indicators (IKU) from the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud). The first IKU is the percentage of graduates from undergraduate (S1) and diploma programs who find jobs, continue their studies, and open a business with adequate income. The second IKU is the percentage of S1 and diploma (D4/D3/D2) program graduates who spend at least 20 credits outside the campus or achieve at least one national-level achievement.
“Then the third IKU is the percentage of teachers who implement tri dharma in other QS 100 campuses (based on their field of study), work as practitioners in industry or supervise students who achieve at least national level achievement in the last 5 years. The fourth IKU, UNS is very fortunate to get practitioners to teach in UNS,” Prof. Jamal stated.
The Head of BI Institute, Solikin M. Juhro added that BI Institute is committed to improving Indonesia’s human resources quality. “BI Institute is very grateful for the collaboration with UNS. We also invited 16 other universities for this program besides UNS,” Solikin M. Juhro stated. Humas UNS
