UNS — The Student Association of Communication Science Program (Himakom) Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held an online inauguration of new management on Tuesday (26/1/2021). Aisyah Fithrotulhaq, as the Chief of Himakom FISIP UNS, was inaugurated with the other 61 managers by Vice-Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs FISIP UNS, Prahastiwi Utari, M.Si, Ph.D.
On this occasion, Prahastiwi also shared her expectation and support to the new managers of Himakom FISIP UNS. “Hopefully, this year, Himakom activities will bring colors to our program, Communication Science Program,” Prahastiwi stated.
The inauguration was also attended by the Head of Communication Science Program FISIP UNS, Sri Hastjarjo, S.Sos., Ph.D., the Supervisor for Himakom UNS, Monika Sri Yuliarti, S.Sos., M.Si., and 2019/2020 Period Himakom UNS Chief, Lutfia Irma Pujiningtyas. The members and students of the Communication Science Program, starting from the class of 2020 to the class of 2017 and representative of Student Associations (UKM) and Organizations (Ormawa) in FISIP UNS, also witnessing the inauguration ceremony. In his remark, Sri Hastjarjo shared his hopes and essential information regarding the Communication Science Program, such as Kampus Merdeka program, start-up plan in the program, international competition, sending students to attend short film festivals, and admin of komunikasi massa (mass communication) journal.
“We (Communication Science Program) hope that Himakom can become a partner for the program in sharing information. Secondly, the Program also hopes that Himakom has a special program for managing competition. Lastly, we hope to meet directly with the new management concerning this information,” Sri Hastjarjo stated.
Led by Maulidina Zahra, the inauguration ceremony’s important processions, including the recital of Decision Letter and the Oath Taking for 2020/2021 Management, run smoothly. At the end of the ceremony, Aisyah Fithrotulhaq also delivered a remark and announcing managers’ names for 2020/2021 in Jenggala Berwarna squad. She hopes that Himakom will be able to provide a room for Communication Science students’ activities. She also explained the meaning of Jenggala Berwarna name, “We all have the same opportunity to grow high but still attached to our alma mater like a tree in jenggala/forest. Berwarna (colorful) means the diversity of background and the stories from the individual in Communication Science Program,” she concluded. Humas UNS
