UNS — The Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held another convocation on Saturday (27/2/2021). This convocation becomes the first convocation conducted in 2021 both virtually and directly, by adhering to strict health protocol.
This period convocation is attended by 1,402 graduates from various study levels. In total there are 43 Doctoral graduates, 211 graduates from the Master’s program, and 48 graduates from the Specialist Doctor Education Program. From the Diploma program there are 153 graduates, and finally 947 graduates from Bachelor/Undergraduate program. Among all of the graduates, 654 participants graduated with honors (cumlaude).
Other than Prof. Jamal Wiwoho as the Rector of UNS, the ceremony was also attended by the Director-General of Vocation Program, Ministry of Education and Culture, Wikan Sakarianto, S.T., M.Sc., P.hD., UNS Senate members, Board of Professor, and Faculty Leaders.
“During this ongoing situation, our nation needs our presence and solidarity as academics to assist them in solving the overly complex and intricate humanitarian issues, which need an immediate solution due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It is the time to establish an interdisciplinary collaboration, no more linear point of view,” Prof. Jamal stressed.
Prof. Jamal also congratulates the graduates and hope that all the knowledge they get during their study can be useful in aiding the nation. Humas UNS
