UNS — The Director General (Dirjen) for Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) Ministry of Internal Affairs (Kemendagri) RI, Prof. Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, attended the handover ceremony of Civil Registration Administration (Adminduk) Laboratory in Vocational School (SV) UNS Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta Tirtomoyo Campus, Tuesday afternoon (9/3/2021).
Adminduk Laboratory is an educational and training laboratory for the students of Diploma Program (D-4) in Demography and Civil Registration (DPS) SV UNS, as well as providing public services in the population and civil registration (Dukcapil) field. Prof. Zudan and entourages visit was welcomed directly by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, Dean of SV UNS, Santoso Tri Hananto, M.Acc, Vice-Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs of SV UNS, Agus D. Priyanto, MCALL, and Vice-Dean for Human Resources, Finance, and Logistics Affairs of SV UNS, Abdul Azis, S.Kom, M.Cs.
The ceremony was also attended by Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs UNS Prof. Ahmad Yunus, Vice-Rector for Management and Human Resources Affairs, Prof. Bandi, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Affairs UNS, Prof. Kuncoro Diharjo, and Vice-Rector for Planning, Partnership, Business, and Information Affairs UNS, Prof. Sajidan.
In his speech, Prof. Zudan stated that the Adminduk Laboratory in SV UNS is a concrete form of skill training. SV UNS students should be equipped with skills and competencies from their university time to ensure they are ready to enter the workplace.
“There is one thing we often talk about. Nowadays, in Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral degree there is something that should be achieved after graduated; to find job in the workplace to fill the abilities, skills, and competencies (red: vocational students),” Prof. Zudan said.
In this occasion, Prof. Zudan also stated that Kemendagri is committed to developing vocational education, particularly through the Institute for Domestic Governance (Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri – IPDN). Ditjen Dukcapil Kemendagri RI then develops this commitment by initiating the DPS Program in UNS which is initially managed by the Faculty of Law (FH) UNS. Prof. Zudan added that the graduates of IPDN are prepared to work in the governmental institutions which university graduates need preparation to enter. “They are trained to work, making official notes, write letters, prepare budget plans, and compile work programs,” he added.
Responding to the new facility in SV UNS, Prof. Jamal conveyed his gratitude to Prof. Zudan, who has always pay attention to UNS development. He stated that the Adminduk Laboratory in SV UNS is a “promise” from Prof. Zudan a few years ago after D-4 DPS Program establishment in UNS. “I convey my gratitude to the Dirjen Dukcapil. I am delighted with the UNS alumnus. Prof. Zudan in Dukcapil hero for UNS. Why? Because he is the basis for DPS Program,” Prof. Jamal stated.
After the handover ceremony, Prof. Zudan accompanied by Prof. Jamal surveyed the Adminduk Laboratory SV UNS. The first room they visited is the Dukcapil History room, followed by Dukcapil services room. To test the readiness of laboratory facilities and infrastructure, Prof. Jamal tried the “face recognition” technology to track his ID Card. Humas UNS
