UNS — Olimpus 2021 officially closed through the Closing Ceremony on Saturday (10/4/2021) in G.P.H. Haryo Mataram Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta Auditorium. The closing ceremony was held offline and live-streamed in the UNS YouTube channel. The event consists of a series of activities, the final campus ambassador election, awarding session, and Olimpus winners announcement.
This event was attended by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Affairs UNS, Prof. Kuncoro Diharjo, and the executive board of UNS. In his remark, Prof. Jamal appreciated the event as an effort to develop knowledge outside of class and hoped that after the final, the winner could continue participating directly in the university’s events.
“In other universities, many students are involved in protocol activities. Later we can involve campus ambassadors,” he explained in his remark and closed Olimpus event officially.
The UNS’s Rector also hopes that the campus ambassador can become a Student Association (UKM) joining the other 48 UKM in UNS. The chief of the committee, Alwan Adhirajasa Yoga, stated that Olimpus 2021 invited more than 20 competitions in reasoning, sports, appreciation, and arts. This competition started on March 2021 and was joined by 1,500 participants. In this closing ceremony, Olimpus Grand Champion’s reward was granted to the Faculty of Medical Science.
“I hope Olimpus can facilitate students to channels their works and talents so that their works can be viewed by the general public,” he hopes in a meeting with uns.ac.id. Humas UNS
