Aggy and Alsha was Announced by UNS Campus Ambassadors 2021

UNS — Aggy Vikasunta and Aulia Shalsabilla were announced as Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta Campus Ambassador 2021. The announcement was held in the final round of UNS Campus Ambassador and closing ceremony of Olimpus 2021 in G.P.H. Haryo Mataram Auditorium on Saturday (10/4/2021). The event was attended by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, who also handed a token of appreciation and reward for  Aggy Vikasunta and Aulia Shalsabilla.

Aggy Vikasunta is currently studying in his second semester of Geography Education Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), while Aulia Shalsabilla, who went with her short name, Alsha, is a fourth-semester student in the Agrotechnology Program Faculty of Agriculture. After a long selection process, they were announced as the 1st winner in UNS Campus Ambassador  2021.

In his remark, Prof. Jamal highly appreciated this selection and hopes that campus ambassadors can be involved in protocol activities. “Hopefully, after winning, there are real and sustainable activities from campus ambassador for the development of the alma mater,” he mentioned in his remark.

After the event, Aggy and Alsha said that they did not expect to win the competition. “I was asked by BEM FP to participate and win. I am also grateful for this achievement. Hopefully (I) can continue to contribute,” Alsha said. Aggy mentioned a similar statement and said that he is delighted with this achievement. Moreover, he wants to be a pioneer to increase students’ interest from his faculty to participate in similar events.

Both champions went through a long process to arrive in this position. The selection process started with initial selection consisting of administrative selection, online written exam and interview, and offline public test and aptitude test. Before concluding the interview, Aggy reminded his fellow students to keep their confidence and disregard other people’s negative comments.

“Be confident with yourself, your ability. We improve to be better. Behind people’s comments that it is impossible for you, it can motivate me to prove that those comments are wrong,” Aggy concluded. The Campus Ambassadors are expected to represent UNS in public. Humas UNS
