UNS — Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the student of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta remain victorious with their achievement. Farrel Rizky Budiman, a student of Tourism Business Diploma Program (UPW) Vocational School (SV) UNS, won this year Kick Andy Metro TV Digital Video Competition. The student with a hobby for 3D animation video creation is participating in the competition by creating a music video with self-composed lyrics.
The virtual competition is taking on the topic ‘Inspiration for Sharing in the New Normal’. “The theme of the competition is sharing inspiration during the new normal. Back then, I’m thinking of a 3D video concept for the video opening. Then, I composed a song with self-made lyrics related to the spirit of sharing during the pandemic. The video is also a documentary of one of the Friday food sharing activities organized by a foundation that I follow,” explains Farrel to uns.ac.id, Monday (19/4/2021).
Knowing the competition from Instagram, Farrel wishes to sharpen his skills in 3D video creation by joining the competition. However, he admits that he was worried when knowing that 200 people are participating in the competition. He can finally win the competition with self-confidence.
“Because this competition is a prestigious one, there are many participants. Sometimes I’m worried because of this. However, I trust myself and focuses on maximizing my content. Finally, I found my self-confidence and become more passionate about joining the competition,” he reveals.
Farrel wishes to be an inspirative figure for his colleagues to use their free time wisely.
“I hope to be the inspiration for others. So they can use their free time during this Covid-19 pandemic optimally and participating in various competitions. Moreover, I hope for my friends to be UNS representatives at the national and international levels,” Farrel wishes. Humas UNS
