LSP UNS Collaborates with LSP PEP and BNSP in Competency Certification

UNS — Professional Certification Institute (LSP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta collaborates with the Professional Certification Institute for Professional Writers and Editors (LSP PEP) and National Agency for Professional Certification (BNSP) to organize work competency certification. The certification consists of four schemes: non-fiction book writing, manuscript editing, acquisition editing, and substantive editing certification scheme.

Dr. Aniek Hindrayani, as the Head of LSP UNS, states that aside from conducting competency tests for prospective participants, LSP UNS collaborates with the BNSP to facilitate UNS academic members to be assessors in various schemes in accordance with the global demand. Currently, UNS has 54 assessors for 20 competency certification schemes.

The Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, states that the establishment of LSP in UNS is a form of UNS commitment and responsibility. This establishment aims to prepare professional and competitive graduates amid the global transformation. “Because one of the substantive components that must be repaired during the 4.0 industrial revolution is workforce’s capacity, which covers scientific competency, skills, and attitude. These competencies will be important capital to face the current and future global economic growth,” explains Prof. Jamal on Wednesday (4/8/2021) while participating in the competency certification.
