UNS — Students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education (PBSI) Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, successfully achtieved an accomplishment at the Java and Bali Regional Orienteering Competition. Aji Santoso managed to win 3rd place in the general men’s category in the Competition held by Bumi Bung Karno Orienteering Competition.
Aji revealed that the race was held in Karangrejo Village, Garum District, Blitar Regency, East Java. The Competition is hosted for 2 (two) days, from 19 to 20 of March 2022. As Aji said, orienteering doesn’t just rely on running speed. However, it requires the participants to combine physical and brainpower. “Orienteering requires participants to navigate using maps and compasses, to reach the predetermined point on the map as quickly as possible,” said Aji, Sunday (20/3/2022).
Meanwhile, Aji is very grateful to hold 3rd place in the men’s general category through the race. “I am thrilled. These results serve as a motivation for me to practice running constantly. Especially running in between dense academic lecture and other activities,” joked Aji concluding his story. Humas UNS
