Meanwhile, the second scheme provided for any person from nonacademic circles with exceptional competence is regulated in Regulation of the Minister of Education, Research, and Technology No. 38 of 2021 concerning the Appointment of Honorary Professors at Universities. Henceforth, the inauguration of new professors must strengthen UNS’s academic reputation, both at the national and international levels,” said Prof. Jamal.

Further, Prof. Jamal confirms that he believes in Prof. (UNS) Dr. Soeprayitno, M.M., academic network, connection, and experience. He has contributed to formulating the ‘ACTIVE’ UNS work culture and providing various capacity-building training, both for leaders and UNS academic support staff.

Prof. Jamal also said that using research and innovation work as Professors’ peer lifestyle is not wrong. “Making research and innovation work as Professors’ peer lifestyle is not wrong. Since after being bestowed with the Professor title, you must be more productive and aggressive in providing scientific work that is solemnly based on research and innovation. Moving together with the concept of a synergy-collaborative approach among scientific disciplines is a new way of working for lecturers to deal with life complexities in a rapid transformation era. Realizing the future of Human Resources with competitive nature is not enough only by relying on a monodisciplinary approach, but requires synergy and collaboration in a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary manner,” said Prof. Jamal.

At the end of his speech, Prof. Jamal hopes that Prof. (UNS) Dr. Soeprayitno, M.M., will always be blessed in the novelty of ideas, clarity of mind, and originality of ideas for the greater development of UNS.
